How to create a good item?

There are two methods to create goods in BizPilot. 

Method 1: From the home screen 

Click on the plus (+) sign at the top of the screen. 



Select the option Add new product or service. 



Enter the name of the product and description in their respective boxes, and select Good in the item type section.  
 


The next section is the HSN code, 



  • If you know the accurate HSN code of the item, type it in the box and proceed. 
  • If you don’t know the HSN code, type keywords related to the item, and BizPilot will show the list of similar items and their HSN codes. 
For example, if you are creating a good item for glass vases, the list of HSN codes related to glassware appears on the screen. 
Now, glass vases fall under the category of glassware of a kind used for tables, etc., and its HSN code is 70133200. 



Select the accurate code and click add to proceed further. 

Add the selling price in rupees. It is the price you are selling this item to your customer. Enter the accurate amount in this box. 



Select the GST percent from the next dropdown, which has the following options 



Enter the purchase price of the good in the next section. It is the price at which you have purchased the item from your vendor. 



Select the unit from the next dropdown, which has the following option 
Click save and create the item. This is the final step in creating a good item. 




Method 2: While creating the invoice 

You can add a good item while creating an invoice in case you find out that you did not have that specific good item in your item list on BizPilot. In this case, you do not have to cancel the invoice process and go back to create a good item. 
You can add a good item by following the next steps, 
Follow the first 7 steps of creating an invoice. 

When you reach the box ‘choose an item’, go to the bottom of the dropdown where you can see Add a new item. Click on it to open it. 



In this section, enter the item's name in the first box and a description in the second. 
Select the item type good. 



After this step, the procedure to add a new good item is the same as method 1, where you will add HSN number, amounts, GST, etc.
