How to add an export invoice without LUT Certificate?

LUT certificate is mandatory for businesses regularly providing goods and services to foreign companies or businesses in SEZ. So, if this is a one-time thing, you do not need to apply for the LUT certificate; instead, you will have to pay GST and reclaim it while reporting GST. 

Here is a procedure to add an export invoice without a LUT certificate, 

Click on the (+) plus sign at the top of the screen to begin invoice creation. 



Select Add a new invoice/ Record new sale



Choose the customer from the dropdown that displays your existing customers' lists. Select the right customer. (Note: Since you are creating an export invoice, it is evident that the customer is either a foreign company or located in SEZ).

The next box is the LUT certificate. Your LUT number will appear in this box if you already have a LUT certificate. Delete this number, and a question will appear on the screen asking whether you want to apply for a LUT certificate. Choose no, and proceed to add an invoice with the same method of creating an invoice
